On the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, a special assembly was conducted by Grade IX at Maxfort School, Rohini, on Monday, 3 February 2025, under the able guidance of our respected Principal Ma’am, Dr. Ratna Chakravarty. The assembly was a vibrant and spiritually enriching event, celebrating the festival dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the epitome of wisdom, learning, and arts.
The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the offering of a garland along with flower petals on the idol of Maa Saraswati symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and enlightenment. This was followed by a soulful rendition of Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of the goddess for wisdom and intellect.
The assembly then featured a mesmerizing Hindi poem recitation, highlighting the significance of Basant Panchami in Indian culture. A thought-provoking speech was delivered by a student, emphasizing the importance of education, wisdom, and the advent of spring as a season of new beginnings.
Adding grace to the celebration, a captivating dance performance was presented as a mark of respect to Goddess Saraswati, showcasing the joy and vibrancy associated with Basant Panchami. The rhythmic movements and expressions of the performers left the audience spellbound.
The entire atmosphere was filled with positivity and wisdom, resonating with the essence of the festival. The special assembly successfully instilled a sense of cultural appreciation and reverence among the students, making it a memorable experience for all.
