Activity – ‘Collage Making’

“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use the more you have.”

—–Maya Angelou

Collage making is expressing one’s own idea, trying new things, and experimenting with changing material. It engages children’s senses in open-ended play and supports the development of cognitive, social-emotional and multisensory skills. With the perspective of developing the various skills of the students, an activity ‘Collage Making’ was conducted from Monday -Friday (05.08.19 – 09.08.19) for the students of Grade V in which the students designed the attractive greeting cards while doing collage work in it on the theme ‘Patriotism’.

The students used origami sheets and were provided with the four options out of which they could choose anyone: 1) Flag 2) India Gate 3) Freedom Fighters 4) Tri Colours Flowers. The decorative material was used by the students as per their creativity and imagination.

The assessment was based on the parameters like peer group coordination, knowledge applied, creativity and multiple skill development.
