SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON OCCASION OF RAKSHABANDHAN

“A sibling may be keeper of one’s identity, the only person with the keys to one’s unfettered, more fundamental self.”

To celebrate the bond of love of a brother and sister, the students of class X of Maxfort School, Rohini had the privilege of presenting the special assembly, attended by students of grades IX and X on 8 August2022 on the topic ‘Rakshabandhan’. The students extended their heartfelt gratitude to our honourable Principal ma’am Dr. Ratna Chakravarty, for providing them with eminent guidance.

The assembly began by seeking the blessings of the Almighty and thanking Him for leading us on the right path followed by the lamp lighting ceremony. Music has the ability to connect itself to our souls. Blessing our ears was the school choir group that made us all sing along and join the festivity. Thoughtful speech presentation about the tradition of tying of a holy thread by the sister on her brother’s wrist and the vows taken by the brother to protect her forever replenished the strength of the brother-sister relationship.

Our proficient actors presented a magnificent skit, dramatising the sacrifices of our army officers who are bound to stay at the borders, far away from their homes so that we can joyously celebrate every festival. To continue with the festive fervour, our talented students presented a dance which made the audience tap their feet along. The students thanked our esteemed Principal ma’am for being a great advisor and a commendable role model. The special assembly came to an end by the rendition of the National Anthem.
