Spring is in the air, fresh blessings everywhere.
Filled with vigour and vivacity , Maxfort School, Rohini celebrated the auspicious occasion ‘Basant Panchami’ on Wednesday 29 January 2020 which marks the onset of the ‘Spring Season’.
The festival of ‘Saraswati Pooja’ owes its origin to the birth of goddess Saraswati, the symbol of knowledge and wisdom, to pay reverence and humble obeisance.
A special assembly was conducted by the students of Grade I where the atmosphere was experienced with devotion and prayers. The stage was adorned with yellow petals and flowers that added much allure to the celebrations.
It commenced with the Saraswati Pooja while garlanding the portrait of ‘Maa Saraswati’ by our honourable Principal ma’am, Dr. Ratna Chakravarty, Headmistress Ms. Neerja Anand and Vardha ma’am for seeking knowledge and a prosperous life. This was followed by the information provided by the little toddlers about the celebration of the festival in different regions of India.
The students of Grades VI- VII also presented dance, musical performance and skit (Nukkad Natak) promoting the value of education.
At the end, the students showcased a beautiful dance presentation on Saraswati Vandana . Our respected Principal Ma’am congratulated for the mesmerising presentation of little Maxfortians and uprised the students by felicitating the achievers of Abacus and Vedic Championship at National Level, the winners of UIEO 2019 and UCO 2019.
As yellow colour symbolizes commitment, knowledge and creativity, the celebration reflected the vibrancy of life by wearing yellow coloured clothes, emulating the bright yellow mustard flowers in the fields.
