Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories and love.
Maxfort School, Rohini welcomed the pillars and heritage of the families i.e the beloved grandparents in the grand celebration of ‘Grandparents’ Day’ on Thursday, 30 January 2020 with the sole perspective to honour the greatest gifts of God for their service to the society and care towards the new generation. Grandparents are the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers and the keepers of tradition.
The cheerful day commenced with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony by honourable Principal ma’am, Dr. Ratna Chakravarty, respected Headmistress Ms. Neerja Anand, Pratibha ma’am, Vardha ma’am and our beloved grandparents. The students presented ‘Ganesha Vandana’ to seek the blessings of the Almighty. Ms. Anshoo Seth addressed the gathering and paid respect and gratitude for the benign presence of the treasures of life. The importance of grandparents in a family was showcased beautifully by the students in their splendid skit presentation ‘We Value You’. The event ended with a captivating dance presentation on the song ‘We thank you Grandma and Grandpa’ to pay respect to their grandparents by the talented Maxfortians.
The icing on the cake was the joyous time spent while playing fun games like ‘Meri Awaaz Suno- Antakshari’, Shake and Guess, Figure it Out, Catch the Racket, Enjoy the laddoo and Musical Chairs by the dearest grandparents who could remember the childhood days and pretended to be little kids. The grandparents who were announced as the winners were greeted with gifts by the honourable Principal ma’am and enthusiastic students which brought a twinkle to their eyes. The event was a mega hit as the guests had an interaction about the whole event. The esteemed audience was overwhelmed to see the unconditional love of their grandchildren. There was a huge applause and appreciation for the worthy efforts displayed in making the show a grand success.
