Special Assembly – Diwali

“Diwali is a symbol of hope for humankind. May it bring universal compassion, inner joy of peace, love and awareness of unity to all.”

All the lights of the world cannot be compared even to a ray of the inner light of the self. Maxfort School, Rohini cherished the pious occasion of Diwali with gleams of diyas, echo of chants, delight of sweets and infinite goodness on Friday , 21 October 2022. The celebration of this auspicious festival continued with happiness, rejuvenation and elation and a special assembly was presented by IX and X Grades.

The day commenced with desires and hopes by remembering the Almighty, paying tribute to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha, the reflection of prosperity and good fortune respectively. Poem recitation, dance and music created a delightful treat for all present. Soulful rendition of festive songs brought out the essence of the festival-celebration of life and goodness which was presented by the students with full vigour. The theatre group of Maxfort School, Rohini presented a live drama full of zest and powerful expressions on the themes of unity, friendship and brotherhood. The students apprised the festival of lights as a signifier of triumph of good over evil after Krishna’s victory over Narakasura.

The assembly came to an end by singing the National Anthem thereby paying homage to our nation. The whole school immersed in serenity to relish the victory of good over evil. At the end of the day, the School Management organised a Diwali feast for the all staff members wherein the Maxfort Family had a rejuvenating time and celebrated the festival of lights.
