Investiture Ceremony is a significant event that showcases the essence of leadership and responsibility. It is an occasion where deserving individuals are honoured and entrusted with the responsibility  to lead and represent their respective roles. To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of being an important and integral part of the administrative body, ‘Student Council’ is formed every year. The momentous day of Investiture Ceremony, at Maxfort School, Rohini, dawned on Tuesday, 9 July 2024, to bestow responsibilities on the deserving young talents of the school to lead from the front with their commitment, confidence and competence.

The glorious day was enlightened by the presence of the revered Chief Guest, Dr. Pratyush Vatsala Tripathi , Principal, Lakshmibai College, University of Delhi, a prolific educationist and a published author. The ceremony commenced with lighting of the auspicious lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana and a prayer song, which signifies removal of darkness and invoking the blessings of the Almighty. A power packed motivational dance performance by the young Maxfortians was truly inspiring to rekindle a spirit of achieving one’s goals.

The honourable Principal, Dr. Ratna Chakravarty infused the student community with motivation and guidance through her highly enriching words. As per revered Principal ma’am, NEP 2020, the visionary educational document can also be called New Era Prominence in the standards for excellence in education. It has recommended creation of an ecosystem so that the schools provide opportunities for inculcating leadership amongst students. Moreover a leader should inspire spiritual and moral guidance, should motivate others for the service of the community and should focus on empowering others through knowledge and enlightenment.

Honourable Principal ma’am and the revered Chief Guest accorded the badges and sashes to the council members. The walk of the leaders with their hearts filled with pride was truly magnetic. The proud parents’ happiness knew no bounds during this momentous achievement of the newly elected leaders.

The revered Chief Guest brightened the august gathering with her humble and extraordinary words. She expressed that all of us should abide by our duty and responsibility towards our nation. We should also be thankful to the divine power for always supporting us in every thick and thin. She concluded with instilling moral values, life skills and a sense of responsibility amongst the young school leaders.

Following that was the oath taking ceremony, wherein the newly elected council pledged to dispense their duties to the best of their abilities and abide by the rules and regulations of the school. Later on, School Head Girl, Siya Bansal and Head Boy Garv Arora expressed their gratitude to their alma-mater and expressed their insight on this superlative opportunity.

The mesmerising performance by the choir group added the right amount of exhilaration to the ceremony. The event concluded with vote of thanks presented by Vice Head Girl, Navya Chanana, followed by the school anthem. Eventually, the event was to espouse the confidence, develop the sense of leadership and responsibility among the students.
