“Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter the flame.”

Yoga is the artwork of awareness on the canvas of body, mind and soul. Yoga is a source of radiance. It rejuvenates our entire being. It channelizes our energies in the right direction.
International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on 21 June to pervade these wide-spread benefits of yoga in the human community. Maxfort School Rohini celebrated 10th International Yoga Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. This year’s theme is “Yoga for Self and Society”. It signifies the dual benefits of yoga i.e. practicing yoga for self-growth and enhancing the potential of the society as a collective entity. The highly curated day became successful under the guidance of honourable Principal ma’am, Dr. Ratna Chakravarty.
The motivating event commenced with a virtual yoga session organised for the students, parents and staff. The school Physical Education Facilitators performed and explained various asanas to the online gathering. The students performed various asanas and observed calm and peace. The school also collaborated with Late Dr. K K Aggarwal’s Heart Care Foundation of India (HCFI) to observe the International Yoga Day. A highly informative and enriching webinar was conducted with the topic- “Medication Through Meditation”. Respected Principal ma’am was the honoured co-host and speaker for this programme. Besides, school leaders of other eminent schools also shared their viewpoint about the pivotal issue.
Revered Principal ma’am offered valuable insight with her words that Yoga offers numerous benefits specifically tailored to the needs and challenges faced by us. It is a holistic practice that promotes the health and functionality of various organs in the body leading to enhanced overall well-being. Medication through Meditation highlights the transformative power of meditation as a pathway to mental clarity, emotional balance, and overall well-being, complementing or even surpassing the benefits of medication in certain aspects of health. At the end, she advised everyone to adopt yoga a habit for living a healthy life.
