Educational excursion is the perfect way of exploring new opportunities and horizons of knowledge. As per NEP 2020, it is an integral part of experiential learning. Adhering to the same, Maxfort School, Rohini organised a visit to Amrit Udyan, President Estate on Tuesday, 11 March 2025 for the students of Classes X and XII. 206 students and teachers became a part of this expedition of grandeur to the natural beauty and lush green ambience. The prime objective was to acquaint the learners with the horticultural legacy of India.
Known as the soul of the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Amrit Udyan is open to the public every spring and is a visual marvel situated in the heart of New Delhi. The gardens boast a vibrant display of meticulously manicured lawns, Mughal-style canals, and terraces, creating a breathtaking landscape. With over a hundred varieties of roses, along with marigolds, petunias, lilies and bougainvillea, the gardens offer a picturesque setting that captivates the senses.
The students and the accompanying staff members were mesimerised by the vibrant display of the tulips and the enchanting variety of roses. The excursion proved to be a rejuvenating and informative experience, allowing students to appreciate and admire the wonders of nature. It also aimed to create awareness among students about the various categories of flora and fauna, aligning with the single-minded perspective to preserve our environment and its various attributes.
Overall, the excursion provided a comprehensive and enlightening learning experience, fostering an appreciation for India’s rich botanical heritage amongst everyone who became a part of this exceptional floral paradise.
