“Save Earth, Save Life”
Maxfort School, Rohini celebrated World Earth Day on 22 April 2025 with great
enthusiasm and determination. The school’s Eco Club conducted various eco-friendly
activities under the theme “Our Power, our Planet” to raise awareness about
environmental conservation and sustainable living. The noble cause was initiated
under the able guidance of respected Principal ma’am, Dr.Ratna Chakravarty.
The day began with a special assembly, where the students presented a speech
highlighting the importance of conservation of energy to protect our planet. The
assembly set a reflective and inspiring tone for the day’s activities.The audio
message of Honourable Chief Minister Ms. Rekha Gupta was played during the
assembly wherein she emphasised on switching the lights off today from 8:00 pm to
8:05 pm with the aim of conserving energy and saving our planet.
Various activities were conducted for Classes IX to XII to mark the day. Class IX
students showcased their creativity through a "Trash to Treasure" activity. They
transformed waste materials into useful and decorative items, promoting the idea of
recycling and reuse. Class X students took part in a Green Plantation Drive, thereby
planting saplings in the school premises. Their efforts symbolised hope and
commitment towards a greener future.
Class XI students turned into Eco Journalists, and prepared PowerPoint presentations
on various environmental issues and presenting them in class. Their presentations
sparked meaningful discussions and raised awareness among their peers. Class XII
students engaged in a lively debate on the topic "Economy vs Environment." They
presented well-researched arguments on both sides, emphasising the need for a
balanced approach to development and conservation.
The Earth Day celebration at Maxfort School, Rohini was a great success, instilling a
sense of environmental responsibility in the students and encouraging them to be
proactive stewards of the Earth.
