Basant Panchami is an occasion that marks the advent of the spring season. It is also celebrated to worship the goddess Saraswati, the epitome of knowledge, wisdom, learning, music, and art.
To seek the blessings of the goddess, the students of grades II and VII conducted special assemblies on January 24, 2023. Springtime joy took over when a prayer ceremony worshipping Goddess Saraswati was led by the offering of spring flowers and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. It was accompanied by “Saraswati Puja.” The students shared their views on how Basant Panchami is celebrated in different regions and religions of the country by dressing up in different attires. A “Saraswati Vandana Dance” was performed. The celebration concluded with the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. It was indeed a spectacular display of talent, zeal, and enthusiasm.
