 ‘73rd Independence Day Celebration’

“Carried with care, coated with pride, dipped in love, fly in glory, moments of freedom in shade of joy… Proud to be an Indian.

 

Maxfort School, Rohini celebrated the 73rdIndependence Day with great zeal to honour the sacrifices made by the great freedom fighters for the country and encourage patriotic feeling among the students. The students from primary, middle and secondary sections participated whole-heartedly to present the special assemblies to showcase their love and patriotism. The event commenced with a delightful musical performance by the school choir on the song ‘Ae mere vatan ke logon’ that truly filled the hearts of the spectators with a splurge of emotions and feelings. It was followed by an energetic skit presented by the young Maxfortians on the topic ‘Azaad Bharat’ and NUKKAD NATAK on – ‘What does Independence mean to India?’ which touched the heart and soul of all present there. After the foot tapping dance performances by the students, the respected Principal Ma’am, Dr. Ratna Chakravarty, emphasised on the importance of the day in her valuable words of wisdom. She stressed on being responsible citizens of the country by following the rule of non-violence of the Father of the Nation – ‘Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’.The purpose was to educate the present and future generations about the freedom struggles which the Saviors underwent to give us the freedom that we enjoy today.To keep alive the flame of patriotism, all the students saluted in front of our National Flag and tri-colour brooches were endowed to our respected Principal Ma’am and Headmistress as tokens of love and respect.To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of the freedom of our country.

Truly, it was a day of joy, a day to respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
