Sports build character and this character shapes the future of nation with the pre requisites of discipline, sportsmanship and the will power to deliver the best in every walk of life. Trailing the vision of Government of India and CBSE, Maxfort School, Rohini promotes sports as a pivotal part of the system of education. Celebrating sports and envisioning sportsmanship, the school celebrated its Annual Sports Day-Euphoria, on Saturday, 7 December 2019 at Chattrasal Stadium.
The Chief Guest of the day was Shri Anurag Tripathiji, the esteemed Secretary of CBSE, former IRPS officer and an eminent educationist. The Honoured Guests were the pride of the nation, the sports sensation, Shri Sushil Kumarji, the Commonwealth and Olympic medalist, Prince Aadvanshi, the wrestler of international repute and Sadhvi Pragya Bhartiji, Director SAM, youth icon. The other dignitaries involved the galaxy of Principals form various prolific schools of Delhi.
The program initiated with the sacred lamp lighting ceremony as a reverence to Ma Saraswati, the incarnation of knowledge and arts by the esteemed Chief Guest, Honoured Guests respected Principal ma’am and the other dignitaries.
Prayer is a type of thanksgiving, a greeting to God for His grace and adhering to the same, the propitious day began with unveiling the spiritual power of Vishnuji through a power packed Prayer Dance Presentation, ‘Dashavtar’.
The gracious assemblage was welcomed by the dazzling choir group of the school to present harmonious Welcome Song. Procession of members of four houses with their placards and flags presented their best march past with musical ensemble consisting of pipers and drummers.
The commitment and determination of the students were shown by swearing in to the oath by the school champion and the Sports Captain Nishant Bansal of Grade XII to abide the students with the rules and regulations to participate in the sports with the true spirit of sportsmanship. The Sports Meet open was officiated by releasing the balloons.
The Chief Guest during his address stated that he was happy to be at the Annual Sports Day of Maxfort School, Rohini. He reiterated the vision of honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji for the development of a fit and healthy India. He emphasized on the importance of sports as an important part of the growth of a child’s full being. He wished all the students good luck and thanked the management.
The Hounoured Guest , Shri Sushil Kumarji highlighted that sports teach us optimism and make us a better human being with the required impetus to fight all odds. Our dignified guest, Prince Advanshi, reflected upon the essence of sports i.e. the upliftment of body for a progressive present and future.The eminent guest and the prolific speaker , Sadhvi Pragya Bhartiji appreciated the efforts of the children and infused them with new energies in the making a healthy and inspired India.
Respected Principal ma’am, Dr. Ratna Chakravarty, in her golden words, emphasized on sports as an integral part of the school curriculum. She motivated the students to pursue sports for their holistic development.
It was a thrilling day for the students as it was better suiting to their interests and abilities and they had the impeccable moments to learn about teamwork, sportsmanship, spirit and handling failures positively.
The shining stars of Pre-School and Pre-Primary donned as the various athletes rocked the track with their mesmerising dance presentation “I love Sports”. The toddlers of Grade I made everyone groove on the command of their feet by their spectacular Aerobics performance.
Maxfortians of Grades II – IX and XI amazed everyone with their fantabulous performances in different drill presentations and participation in Sports activities associated with a range of physical, social and educational benefits.
Life is a race and each and every creature is an athlete. The splendid sports persons tied up the laces of the shoes to run over the track and overcame the hurdles to cross the red ribbon of success.
Champions become champions when they are instilled with the right training from the beginning. Identifying potential and nurturing it are the key elements for success.
The young champs secured the three positions and were felicitated with bronze, silver and gold medals. The sports champion, Vedika Bansal, of Grade V was felicitated with the trophy for the outstanding achievements in sports at National level.
There was an aura filled with vigour and sportsmanship to visualize perpetual hard work, concentration and potential thereby preparing the students for success in the changing world.
During the valedictory ceremony, finally, the remarkable part of the enthralling voyage was displayed by all the Maxfortians who showcased the word M with the emblem of the school-the butterfly, in the field in coordination with the Grand Finale song and gave their heart and soul in the success of Sports Day 2019- EUPHORIA. At the end, Ashita Agarwal, the Vice Head Girl of the school presented, the Vote of Thanks, extending gratitude to all for gracing the event with their precious time.
