According to Rabindra Nath Tagore, “The main objective of teaching is not to give explanations, but to knock at the doors of the mind.” Teachers are no doubt the supporting pillars of our society. Amidst COVID-19 pandemic, Teachers’ Day was celebrated on the online platform from the premises of Maxfort School, Rohini with great zeal and gusto. The day commenced with special inauguration ceremony that brought the students and their teachers together digitally to mark the important occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. Saravpalli Radhakrishnan. The students were reminded of the numerous roles that a teacher plays in their lives. To mark the auspicious day, respected Principal ma’am, Dr. Ratna Chakravarty delivered a poignant speech thanking the teachers for their contribution to the institution and inspired them to achieve greater heights with her words of wisdom. To add more charm to the blissful day, the students of Grade XII organised a  colourful programme for their teachers. It was a delightful event filled with myriad hues of singing, dance and skit presentation. Eventually a sumptuous lunch was organised for the teachers that was certainly relished by everyone’s taste buds. In totality, this joyous day was enjoyed by all the teachers infusing them with the impetus for the growth and development of the students.
