The Cleanliness of our surroundings is a reflection of our inner self—                                       Mahatma Gandhi

Cleanliness is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. There is an ardent need to create a clean and healthy India for all. To facilitate this, our honorable Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi launched the Swachhata Pakhwada Abhiyan, a nationwide cleanliness campaign, to create a clean and healthy India. It started in April 2016 with the objective of bringing a fortnight of intense focus on the issues and practices of Swachhata.

Recognizing the vital role of the schools in spreading the Swachhata awareness and implementation across the country, Maxfort School organized a special assembly on Monday,28 August 2023, under the able guidance of respected Principal ma’am, Dr. Ratna Chakravarty.

The assembly was dedicated to understand the significance of improving sanitation, waste management and promoting hygiene practices. It was a moment to reflect on the values that drive us to create a safe and sustainable future. It heralded with a prayer to the Almighty, enlightening speech, thought, dialogue presentation and an appealing poem recitation.

Taking the lead forward, a plethora of activities was conducted in the school premises. The activities included poster making, slogan writing and the assembly concluded with a pledge for a commitment towards maintaining cleanliness.

The assembly concluded with the moment of reflection and sensitizing oneself and others to make cleanliness our top priority. It’s time to join hands, step up and make a positive impact on our surroundings.
