76th Republic Day
Our freedom fighters gave us a glorious past, we need to create the future. Republic Day is celebrated in India to commemorate the day the Indian Constitution came into force on January 26, 1950. This is the day of profound pride and historical significance, occupies a cherished place in the hearts of all Indians. Schools serve as vital platforms for nurturing patriotism and fostering civic awareness among the younger generation.
The vibrant spirit of patriotism was palpable across the school premises on Friday, 24 January 2025, as the students of Grade XI presented a special assembly to capture the essence of this historic occasion. Their efforts paid homage to the visionaries who meticulously crafted our Constitution, establishing the pillars of a sovereign, socialist, secular, and democratic India. The momentous event commenced with the esteemed Principal, Dr. Ratna Chakravarty, being gracefully escorted to the assembly area by the Bagpiper’s band, adding a touch of grandeur to the celebration. This was followed by solemn prayer and melodious music and dance performance that brought alive the spirit of patriotism, leaving the audience inspired. Adding to the event’s fervor, an inspiring speech and a Nukkad Natak creatively emphasized the importance of preserving the monuments and heritage of our great nation.
The esteemed Principal ma’am, Dr. Ratna Chakravarty, graced the occasion with her enlightening words, underscoring the grandeur and significance of the day, celebrated with joy and enthusiasm. Respected ma’am also introduced this year’s Republic Day theme, “Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas,” which honors India’s rich cultural legacy and strides in progress. It reminds us that India’s journey is deeply rooted in the legacy of its culture, traditions, and the sacrifices of its forefathers, while also being guided by a relentless pursuit of growth, innovation, and prosperity.
Revered Principal ma’am unfurled the tri-colour flag and everyone sang the national anthem with beaming pride and love for the nation on 25 January 2025. The students were imbued with a sense of pride and inspired by the enduring values that make our nation extraordinary. The celebration was a resounding success, reflecting the dedication and enthusiasm of the students and staff. It served as a poignant reminder of our collective duty to honour and uphold the ideals of our Constitution and strengthen the democratic fabric of our nation.
