RAKSHABANDHAN CELEBRATION

Maxfort School, Rohini, remains dedicated to instilling a deep sense of cultural pride and unity among its students by celebrating various festivals. On Friday, 16 August 2024, the school was imbued with the spirit of love and affection as the students gathered to celebrate the festival of Raksha Bandhan. This special assembly, organised by the students of Grade IX, beautifully highlighted the strong bond of love and protection shared between siblings, embodying the true essence of this cherished tradition.

The assembly commenced with a soulful prayer that set a serene and auspicious tone for the morning. The students invoked the blessings of the Almighty, creating an atmosphere of reverence and unity among all present.

Following the prayer, a heartfelt poem on the essence of Raksha Bandhan was recited by a student of Class IX. The poem eloquently expressed the emotions associated with the festival, highlighting the love, care, and lifelong bond between brothers and sisters.

The event continued with an insightful speech that delved into the significance of Raksha Bandhan in Indian culture, emphasizing its role in strengthening family ties and fostering a sense of responsibility and protection among siblings.

A major highlight of the assembly was the amalgamation of dance and skit, which beautifully depicted the strong bond between siblings. The performance, showcased the journey of a brother and sister through various stages of life, demonstrating how their bond evolves and strengthens over time. The students’ performance was captivating, receiving applause from everyone present for its emotional depth and artistic excellence.

In addition to the Raksha Bandhan celebration, the assembly also included the felicitation of students who participated in the Model United Nations (MUN) . Respected Principal ma’am Dr. Ratna Chakravarty felicitated the students with merit certificates for their outstanding participation and achievements. She congratulated the students, to develop a deeper understanding of current world issues and world politics.

The assembly concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event. The students of Grade IX were commended for their creativity, teamwork, and commitment in putting together such a meaningful and memorable assembly.
