“A time for celebration. A time for victory of good over evil. A time when the world sees the example of power of good.”
Keeping the festive spirit alive, the propitious occasion, DUSSEHRA was celebrated on Monday, 11 October2021 in Maxfort School, Rohini virtually in the form of special morning assemblies conducted by Maxfortians of Grades III and IX to mark Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil.
The commencement of the festivity was done with a soulful rendition of devotional bhajan to invoke the blessings of Lord Rama which was followed by skit presentation on how the children celebrate the pious festival while enacting as different characters of Ramayana. The young stars were attired in colourful costumes portraying different characters supported by the commentary of the narrator. The spectators present enjoyed every moment of the display.
The honourable Principal Ma’am, Dr. Ratna Chakravarty highlighted the significance of Dussehra and motivated the efforts of the wonderful students. The message was provided that every human being should kill the ‘Ravana’ in himself / herself and engage in doing ‘Karma’ with full devotion and sincerity. A glimpse of Ramayana was depicted in one of the scenes and the frolicsome dance presentation left the audience spellbound. The mock fight between Lord Rama and Ravana ended with a scene of victory of good over evil. The students and facilitators were congratulated for their commitment and hard work. The cultural bonanza ended with a proposal of vote of thanks and appealing the children to work for peace and unity of the country thereby strengthening the spirit of harmony.
