Special Assembly On Dussehra 2023

The arrows of Lord Rama’s bow,

Over evil forces,they lay low.

Dussehra’s triumph, a radiant sight,

Goodness prevailing in shining light.

 

The distinctive atmosphere of reverence of good and its power to subdue evil was well spread in the school premises  as the young Maxfortians were provided with an opportunity to take the center stage and present a special assembly to commemorate the festival of Dussehra. The purpose was to make the children aware about our ethical and cultural values thereby  celebrating the victory of Good over Evil.

The special assembly was presented on 19 October 2023, under the able guidance of respected Principal ma’am Dr. Ratna Chakravarty to encapsulate the essence of Dussehra. Dussehra, which is also called Vijayadashmi, is the culmination of the nine-day Navaratri celebrations. It celebrates Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana in a festival spread over ten days. The students highlighted the importance of the festival in today’s world. This auspicious day reminds people of the fact that truth always wins and motivates them to follow the path of dharma.

 

The celebration started with the lighting of the lamp that filled the atmosphere with a sense of auspiciousness and inspiration.It was followed by the enchanting melodies by the choir group as a true expression of joy and unity brought by their soulful performance.

 

Honourable Principal ma’am, Dr. Ratna Chakravarty enlightened the august gathering with her inspirational words, stating the significance and beauty of unity in diversity –  Atulya Bharat in the Indian culture and tradition. Dussehra marks the defeat of evil and the world is blessed with the blessings of Maa Durga – a true embodiment of power ,truth and virtue.The Hindu mythology encourages us to follow the virtuous message of being good to all by burning the effigy of Ravana.The speech ignited a spark of inspiration,thereby motivating all to strive for excellence and embrace the values.

Enlightening speeches,resonating dance performance on the graceful depiction of the various forms of Maa Durga. It captivated the gathering.

The captivating skit was an inspiration from the great Indian epic the Ramayana. An illuminating speech kept the audience engrossed throughout the presentation and was a great learning experience for one and all. The poem presentation was an insight into our rich Indian culture and values and its applicability in the modern context.

The assembly met a glorious end with the felicitation of our virtuous leader, facilitators and students.The students were awarded and appreciated for making a mark in various events,thereby taking the lead forward for excellence. The event ended on a musical note with a presentation of CBSE activity-Bhartiya Bhasha Utsav-Bhasha Anek Bhaw Ek. A visual symphony filled the hearts with joy.
