INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY 8 SEPTEMBER 2021

“Literacy is the single most significant skill needed to function effectively in school, in the workplace and in the society. It is vital to a successful education, career and quality of life.”

Literacy is the foundation of the system of education. It is also the first step to the staircase of knowledge. The United Nations has declared 8 September as International Literacy Day. Every year it is celebrated to remind the international community of the importance of literacy of individuals, communities and societies and the need of intensified efforts towards a more literate society. Contributing in this global campaign to eradicate illiteracy, Maxfort School, Rohini celebrated Adult Literacy Day for spreading the torch of literacy amongst the supporting staff. As a matter of elation, all of them were able to write their names on their own. A special learning session was organised wherein respected Principal ma’am, Dr Ratna Chakravarty enriched the supporting staff members. They were taught in the most innovative manner. Eventually, it inspired them to follow the path of education and attain a better living for themselves and their families.
