Independence day in India is celebrated every year with great pride on 15th of August to honour the sacrifices of innumerable freedom fighters and civilians for making the free India. Maxfort School Rohini celebrated this national festival on Friday, 13 August 2021 with great patriotic fervour and zeal. The eventful day started with flag hoisting by respected Principal ma’am, Dr. Ratna Chakravarty and the rendition of national anthem. Special assembly was organised by Class X. Thoughtful speech by the young students highlighted the significance of this great day. The young theatre artists presented an informative skit elaborating the role of the freedom fighters and realising the importance of this pivotal day. Maxfortians also presented visual and vocal delights in form of dance and patriotic song performances. Respected Principal ma’am, in her words of wisdom, inspired all the students to do their bit for the nation by focusing on their immediate goal of attaining their desired academic goals and fulfilling their responsibility towards the nation. Interactive activities like poster making, poetry writing, digital poster making and rhyme recitation were also conducted to commemorate this patriotic fervour.` It was truly a spectacular day replete with enthusiasm that revived the sense of patriotism and pride for the nation in all present.
