“We have not inherited this Earth from our forefathers; we have borrowed it from our children.” -Lester Brown
Earth is the God’s best gift to us. The Earth does not belong to man. Man belongs to the Earth. Love the Earth as you would love yourself. So, save the mother planet. It’s the only home we have got. Under the guidance of respected Principal ma’am, Dr. Ratna Chakravarty, our school, Maxfort School, Rohini celebrated Earth Day with full vigour and enthusiasm. The objective was to sensitize the students towards the conservation of the planet Earth. The students participated in plethora of activities conducted to spread awareness to protect our planet. The various interactive activities conducted were Grade I-Earth Day Craftivity, Grade II-Recycled Art, Grade III-Save Earth by 3Rs (Making Earth Day Lap Book), Grade IV-Lend a Hand to Save the Land, Grade V-Nurture Nature, Grade VI- Plant a Sapling Activity, Grade VII-Poster Making , Grade VIII-Poem Recitation Activity, Grade IX and X-Poster Making and Grade X and XII-Self Composed Poetry Writing. The wide variety of age-appropriate activities motivated the students to inspire their peers and others towards the conservation of the ailing planet, i.e. Earth, through the use of their creativity and imagination. Eventually the students comprehended that it is high time that we take immediate action to save our abode i.e. planet Earth with our wise actions and sense of adaptability for a sustainable future.
